Hey, K-pop students! 👋
I’m Student1, just another student who loves K-pop and wants to learn and enjoy it together with you!
Okay, TXT really made falling in love sound like studying for a language test. 😂💚
TXT “Love Language” is a digital single released on May 2, 2025, and honestly, the whole concept is kinda perfect for us K-pop students.
TXT debuted under BIGHIT MUSIC in 2019 with five members: Soobin, Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai.
They’ve spent years singing about growing up, friendship, confusion and all the weird emotions that come with youth.
This time?
They’re trying to understand one person.
And apparently that requires a whole new language.
💌 What Does TXT “Love Language” Mean?
A love language is the way someone expresses or receives love.
But TXT take that idea way more literally.
In this song, liking someone feels like learning a language you’ve never studied before.
A tiny touch suddenly means something.
A normal word sounds different.
One look has you analyzing everything for the next three hours.
And you’re sitting there thinking:
Wait… was that a sign?
😭
The narrator doesn’t know how to read the other person’s mind, so he asks:
What’s your love language?
Basically:
“Teach me how to understand you.”
And that’s ridiculously cute.
🔤 Love Starts with 가나다라
One of my favorite lines in the whole song is:
가나다라 배워 가는 나
If you’re learning Korean, you probably recognize:
가 나 다 라
They’re some of the first Hangul characters beginners learn.
Basically the Korean-language feeling of:
A, B, C, D.
So TXT compare falling in love to starting a language from absolute zero.
No advanced level.
No shortcuts.
Back to the alphabet. 😂
And honestly, that makes sense.
You meet someone new and suddenly you have to learn what every little thing means.
📚 Apparently “You-ology” Is a Subject Now
Then the lyrics get even more unserious:
연구해 You-ology
너에 대한 A to Z
😭
-ology is the English suffix we use for a field of study.
Biology.
Psychology.
Sociology.
TXT?
You-ology.
The study of you.
They want the full course.
A to Z.
And then they even talk about decoding the person like a dictionary.
At this point, this crush has become homework.
But I get it. 😂
🎧 TXT Went Bright Again
TXT have done plenty of darker, heavier concepts, but “Love Language” is just… nice.
Bright.
Fresh.
Warm.
The song has that clean spring energy where nothing feels too dramatic yet.
Nobody’s world is ending.
Nobody’s falling into some magical nightmare.
It’s just that slightly embarrassing stage where you really like someone and suddenly everything they do feels important.
And sometimes I miss this side of TXT.
They do youthful, slightly awkward romance really well.
🌸 “Lost in Translation” Is Actually the Whole Song
There’s a line:
단어를 뺏긴 듯
Lost in translation
And honestly, that’s probably the cleanest summary of the concept.
You know what you feel.
You just have no idea how to say it.
Or maybe you’re not sure what they’re trying to say.
So now you’re reading into:
texts,
eye contact,
hand touches,
tone of voice…
everything.
Falling in love apparently comes with subtitles you forgot to turn on. 😂
🎬 This MV Feels Like a Youth Movie
The music video was filmed in Spain, and the scenery does a lot for the mood.
Sunny streets.
Open spaces.
That warm European light.
TXT basically look like they wandered into a coming-of-age movie.
And I think that’s why the video works.
It doesn’t need some giant fantasy storyline.
The song is already about one of the most dramatic experiences known to humanity:
having a crush and not knowing what anything means. 😭
✍️ Hueningkai Joined the Songwriting
Another nice detail is that Hueningkai participated in writing and composing “Love Language.”
That makes sense for a song that feels so connected to TXT’s youthful side.
The lyrics aren’t trying to make love sound impossibly deep.
They make it curious.
Awkward.
Exciting.
Basically the stage before you actually know what’s going on.
Which might be the most fun stage anyway.
🎤 “Love Language” Korean Pronunciation

These are written for singing along, not as a strict Korean romanization lesson. Sometimes I’ll choose a spelling that feels easier to pronounce with the actual song.

💡 Korean Tip with Student1
Okay, this might be the most appropriate song possible for a Korean Tip section. 😂
There are some really nice expressions hiding in here.
🔤 가나다라 (Ganadara)
Let’s start with the obvious one.
가, 나, 다, 라 are some of the first Hangul characters you learn when studying Korean.
Think:
A, B, C, D.
The lyric says:
가나다라 배워 가는 나
Ganadara baewo ganeun na
So he’s basically learning this person from the absolute beginning.
Love level:
Beginner Korean. 😂
🌎 온통 (Ontong)
온통 means:
“entirely,” “all over,” or “completely filled with.”
The lyric says:
세상이 온통 너야
Literally, the whole world is just…
you.
Not subtle.
But crushes usually aren’t. 😭
⏰ 종일 (Jongil)
종일 means:
“all day”
or
“the whole day.”
The lyric:
생각해 종일 너만
means he’s thinking about that one person all day long.
Again.
Please do your actual homework too. 😂
✋ 스치다 (Seuchida)
스치다 means something lightly:
brushes past, grazes or passes by.
The lyric says:
살짝 스친 손도
Even their hands lightly brushing against each other becomes something worth analyzing.
You know the one.
Your hands touch for 0.2 seconds and suddenly you’re replaying it for three business days. 😭
🔐 해독하다 (Haedokhada)
해독하다 means:
“to decode”
or
“to decipher.”
The lyric says:
의미를 사전처럼 해독하고 싶어
He wants to decode this person’s meaning like using a dictionary.
At this point, he doesn’t need a date.
He needs a translation app. 😂
🌴 낙원 (Nagwon)
낙원 means:
“paradise.”
The lyric is:
너의 이름이 낙원의 또 다른 말 같아
Basically:
“Your name feels like another word for paradise.”
That is unbelievably cheesy.
And unfortunately…
kinda cute. 😭💚
💭 Student1’s Take
Okay, You-ology got me.
Imagine liking someone so much you invent an entire academic discipline about them. 😂
But honestly, the song is painfully accurate.
When you actually like somebody, suddenly nothing is normal anymore.
They text:
“okay.”
And now you’re like:
Why lowercase?
Why no emoji?
Are they mad?
Does “okay” mean okay???
😭
That’s literally Love Language.
You’re trying to decode somebody who did not come with instructions.
And I love the 가나다라 line because it makes the whole concept even cuter.
He’s not pretending to understand everything.
He’s basically saying:
I’m a beginner. Teach me.
Lowkey, TXT sound really good when they lean back into this bright, awkward youth thing.
No apocalypse.
No existential crisis.
Just a crush ruining your ability to think normally.
Honestly?
Sometimes that’s enough. 😂💚
