I really love K-pop, but somehow, the more I get into it, the more questions I have.
“What does this Korean expression actually mean?”
“Why is this song called that?”
“Wait, who is this group? How did I just find out about them?”
That’s pretty much how KPOP STUDENT started.
I’m not a K-pop expert. I’m a student too. I’m just learning as I go — one song, one artist, and one random question at a time — and sharing the things I find interesting along the way.

This is where I try to understand the Korean in K-pop songs.
I look at how to read and pronounce Korean lyrics, what certain words and expressions mean, and how people actually use them in Korean.
Because singing along is way more fun when you actually know what you’re saying.
🐇 K-pop Rabbit Holes
You know how one K-pop question somehow turns into five more?
This is where I follow those questions.
Songs, artists, concepts, music videos, Korean culture, or some tiny detail I noticed that made me go, “Wait, why is that?”
If I get curious and start digging, there’s a good chance it’ll end up here.
✨ K-pop This & That
This is where I share K-pop I’ve recently discovered.
Maybe it’s a group I’m hearing about for the first time, a song I somehow missed, or a performance that suddenly made me curious about an artist.
They might already be huge, or they might have just debuted. It doesn’t really matter. If I find something that makes me want to know more, I’ll probably talk about it here.
Whether you’re learning Korean through K-pop, trying to figure out something you heard in a song, or just falling down the same K-pop rabbit holes I am, welcome. 🙂
